Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and passionate Indo-Chinese Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience preparing authentic and innovative Indo-Chinese dishes, with a strong understanding of both Indian and Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of Indo-Chinese dishes such as Manchurian, Hakka noodles, Schezwan fried rice, chilli paneer/chicken, spring rolls, etc.
• Develop new recipes and refine existing dishes to maintain high standards of quality and taste.
• Ensure food is prepared in a timely and consistent manner in line with restaurant standards.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards in accordance with food safety regulations.
• Manage inventory, order ingredients, and minimize food waste.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff and assist in training junior cooks.
• Stay updated on current food trends and customer preferences.

Requirements:

• Must have full work rights in Australia
• Proven experience as an Indo-Chinese chef in a busy restaurant or hotel.
• In-depth knowledge of ingredients, spices, sauces, and cooking techniques used in Indo-Chinese cuisine.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• A culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Food Safety Supervisor FSS Certificate or willing to obtain one.
